STORE
T his brig ht red button enables you to take newly created patc hes, edited
patches, SPLIT programs etc., and program t hem into memory. To store
info rmation into memory, be sure t hat t he MATRIX-GR is in PATCH
SELECT

Number Mode to store a Patc h or SPLIT SELECT/ Number
Mode to store a Split. Press and hold t he STORE button. W hile you are
holding t he STORE button down, press t he two digits of t he patch number
you want on t he Keypad. The patc h is now stored in memory in t hat Patc h
Number location. Please remembe r t hat you cannot use t he STORE button
if M EMORY PROTECT on t he back panel is switc hed ON or if t he patc h has
its individual PATCH PROTECT feature turned ON.
Reset
Briefly pressing STORE cuts s hort any sustaining sound (a
patc h wit h long Release times) or will clear partially entered
digits on t he display.
Patch Copy
"+ I ·" Key
You can also copy a patc h from one Number to anot her. Simply
select a patch t hat you want to copy, press and hold t he
STORE button and type in t he Number of t he patc h (its
destination) t hat t he copied patc h will go. Just remembe r t hat
t he destination patch will be erased and replaced by t he copied
patc h. Also, bot h MEMORY PROTECT on t he back panel and
individual patch PROTECT must be turned OFF in t he
Destination Patc h for t his to occur.
This handy l ittle button enables quick c hanges to t hose parameters t hat can
be used eit her positive or negative. A good example is an ENVELOPE
amount value (try PATCH EDIT "29 VCA2 MOD BY ENV2") . You will
discover t hat t he modulation amount of an ENVELOPE can be eit her
positive (its normal state) or negative (inverted). If you give an envelope a
positive amount to start wit h, pressing t he "+/-" button once will c hange it to
a negative amount. Pressing it again once will return it to positive. If a
parameter can only be used wit h positive values (try PATCH EDIT "44 PORT
RATE"), t he "+/-" button will not be operative for t hat parameter.

REVERSE I ADVANCE ARROWS
These buttons will make any desired c hange on t he display in increments of
ONE.
The ">" button is used to ADVANCE or INCREASE, and t he "<"
button is used to REVERSE or DECREASE to t he next number or function.

(YES I ON) ARROWS
These buttons will make any desired c hange on t he display in increments of
FIVE.
The "»" button is used to ADVANCE or INCREASE and t he "<<"
button is used to REVERSE or DECREASE a numerical value or parameter
name by five units. For functions requiring YES or NO decisions (try
MASTER mode "1 1 SEND ALL" o r "5 1 PATCH" INITIALIZE) , t hese two
buttons allow you tell t he MATRIX-GR w het her you are ready to proceed or
not. For functions t hat have ON or OFF c hoices, t hese buttons are used for
t hat purpose as well.
