Definitions
The following definitions are used in this appendix. The following terms
may not be universally applicable, but they are used in this appendix to
distinguish similar items from one another:
1
Ai Logix Card ID: An ID number assigned to each Ai Logix card by the Ai
Logix driver. This ID is visible in the Smart Control program.
2
Ai Logix NFAS Trunk Group: This appears as “NFAS Group” on the
Recorder Manager Voice Card page and “NFAS Index” in the Ai Logix
Smart Control program. This value must correlate with the Switch Trunk
Group, but must start at 0 and increment by 1. You might have Trunk
Groups 1 and 6, but the Ai Logix NFAS Trunk Groups would be 0 and 1.
3
Ai Logix NFAS Trunk Index: This appears as “NFAS Index” on the
Recorder Manager Voice Card page and “Trunk Index” on the Ai Logix
Smart Control program. This value must correlate with the Switch Trunk
Span Index, but will start at 0 for Ai Logix NFAS Trunk Group 0 and
increment by 1. This value does not start over at 0 for Ai Logix NFAS
Trunk Group 1.
4
Ai Logix NFAS Trunk Type: This appears as “NFAS Type” on the
Recorder Manager Voice Card page and “Trunk Type” in the Smart
Control program. This identifies the Trunk Span as either “D” for D-
channel, “Backup” for the backup D-channel, or “None” for Trunk Spans
that do not contain D-channels.
5
Ai Logix Port: The RJ-45 connector on the Ai Logix DP6409 card. There
are two, called “Trunk1” and “Trunk2”, in Recorder Manager. Trunk1 will
be the top connector in a vertical PCI card configuration or the left-hand
connector in a horizontal configuration. Trunk2 will be the bottom or left-
hand connector.
6
Ai Logix Serial #. The last 4 digits of the Ai Logix serial #. This will
typically appear on the external side of the card so it can be seen on the
back of the racked server.
7
Cable Identifier: A label on the wires running from the trunk-tap point to
the TDM Recorder. This could also refer to a patch panel port, or a
combination of the patch panel port and wire number. For example,
