Upgrading Recorder
Perform an upgrade such as a new release, new service pack, new build, or
hot fix, to an existing TDM Recorder only if the recorder is already installed
and you have the original installation CDs. You can identify the new build
or service pack from the version number.
To upgrade the recorder locally
1
Stop all services (
My Computer > Manage > Services and
Applications > Services
)
2
Insert the installation CD. If the installation program does not autostart,
use Windows Explorer to locate and double-click the file
Launch.exe
.
3
In the File Download dialog box, click
Open
(not Save) and follow screen
instructions.
Note:
Settings from the previous installation are used. If any new
components are included in the upgrade, use the recommended default
settings or enter new settings as appropriate.
4
When the upgrade is complete, click
OK
.
Note:
If additional configuration is required, the configuration window
displays and you are prompted to make changes before proceeding.
5
Follow screen instructions to commission and validate the installation as
described on “Verifying the installation” on page 73 and then click
Finish
.
