Nortel TDM Recorder
Setting up overview
This chapter describes licensing and initial configuration tasks you perform
after the installation to set up and verify the installation. After you have
successfully placed and viewed a test call, the installation is complete.
You do not have to assign ports for Recorder components, as this is done
automatically by the installation program. Detailed configuration
procedures appear in the
Nortel TDM Recorder
System Administration
Guide.
Note:
You must be a user with Administrator rights to carry out any
configurations with the Recorder Manager.
After installation, you should carry out the steps below, in the order listed.
1 Set up your License for the first time
In this step, you either set up a temporary license that will last for 10
days, until you obtain the full licence, or activate your full license.
2 Configure Adapter Cards for first time use
In this step, you configure each voice card installed so that it will work in
the telephony environment and record calls.
3 Verify the installation
In this step, you make a call and check the results using a viewer
application. Once you have done this, installation is complete.
Setting up the System is described in the following topics:
Setting up your license for the first time
Configuring adapter cards
Verifying the installation
