Multiport aggregate device task flow
This task flow shows the sequence of procedures you do to replace a multiport
aggregate device in your Passport switch. To link to any procedure, go to
“Task flow navigation” (page 189).
CAUTION
Service loss on active ports
Replacing a multiport aggregate device requires you to
remove all the E1 ports connected to the device from
service for the duration of the replacement. Minimize the
impact of the switch outage by rerouting traffic to other
switches in the network before locking the ports.
CAUTION
Service interruption by powering down
Before you power down a multiport aggregate device,
inform appropriate personnel that service will be
interrupted.
