Supine Position Mode (measurement for patients lying down)
The following explains supine position mode when measurement
is taken from the patient’s side. During this measurement, the
cylinder axis is compensated by 90 degrees.

Enter supine position mode.
The device automatically enters supine position
mode when the main body is tilted 60º or more down-
ward as shown to the right.
The supine position mode icon
appears. Mea-
surement from the patient’s side (90º axis correction)
is now possible.
In supine position mode, the eye to be measured
needs to be selected manually. The indication
changes to

• When measuring a supine patient from their side or from above
the patient, make sure that the forehead rest is retracted.

• In supine position mode, the axis correction and inclination indicator functions are disabled.
• After conducting measurement in normal measurement mode, if the device is set to supine position
mode without deleting or printing the data taken in normal mode, “
