4.5 Utilities
WARNING!
Do not use this equipment in a hazardous atmosphere or with hazardous
materials for which the equipment was not designed.
All control and utility stations must be properly connected to gases, water supply,
vessel water, electrical power and an open drain. The gas connections are located on
the rear panel of the cabinet (
see Figure 1g in Section 4.5.3
). All other service
connections are on the lefthand side of the cabinet (
see Figure 1f in Section 4.5.2
) .
Using standard plant practices and respecting all applicable codes, connect services to
the appropriate connections, as recapped in Table 1 and explained in greater detail in
Sections 4.5.1 - 4.5.3.

The electrical requirements vary depending on the part number that has
been ordered. Model, Part Number and Electrical Power Requirements for
each fermentor appear on a metal label affixed to the rear of the unit just
above the connection for the power cord.
