Riser Board
The riser board contains most of the cable connectors in the
system. The following connectors reside on the riser board:
primary and secondary IDE connectors
diskette drive connectors
expansion board connectors
front panel connector for lamps
the NLX connector for the system board
additional connectors including the CD Audio In, Modem
In, Wake-On LAN connector, and the chassis intrusion
connector (hardware monitor)
the external LAN connector
power connectors (on the back of the board).
The following connectors support one or two expansion
boards:
one PCI connector
one shared PCI/ISA connector.
Power Supply
The system’s 145-watt power supply converts AC voltage
from the power source (such as a standard, properly grounded
wall outlet or power strip) to the DC voltages required for the
system devices. For more information, see “Power Supply
