5-32   Installing Options

IDE Signal Cables  

Systems with an internal IDE hard drive come with a two-
connector IDE interface cable attached to the drive and to the
primary IDE connector on the riser board. Some systems
come with a second two-connector IDE cable connected to
the second IDE device (such as the CD-ROM drive) and to
the secondary IDE connector.

The following figures show typical two-connector IDE cables
for the internal hard drive and CD-ROM drive. If the IDE
cable is not keyed with a connector tab, align the colored
edge of the cable with the pin 1 side of the drive connector.
