5.3 Engine – Starting

Preconditions

☑

Engine is not connected to load.

DANGER

Rotating and moving engine parts.
Risk of crushing, danger of parts of the body being caught or pulled in!
• Before cranking the engine with starter system, make sure that there are no persons in the engine's

danger zone.

WARNING

Destruction of electric starter when it is actuated with the engine running.
Risk of injury through ejected parts!
• Only actuate the starter when the engine is stationary.
• Ensure that the starter can not be actuated accidentally.
• Do not exceed the disengagement speed of the starter (300 rpm).

WARNING

High level of engine noise when the engine is running.
Risk of damage to hearing!
• Wear ear protectors.
