8.5 Air Filter

8.5.1 Air filter – Replacement

Preconditions

☑

Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

DANGER

Parts can be drawn in through a missing air inlet system.
Risk of serious injury – danger to life!
• Never operate engine without air filters.

Note:

Component is genset manufacturer's or vehicle manufacturer's scope of supply.

Replacing air filter

Note:

• The engine must not be operated without an air filter.
• After removing the air filter, seal all openings with suitable covers.
• Remove covers only directly before installing the new air filter.

Perform tasks according to manufacturer's specifications.
