Verifying the COPS Configuration
Issue the
show packet-cable configuration
cops
command in all modes except User
EXEC mode to display the COPS configuration and status information for the PEP
ID, Client Timer, and verify if the Status SNMP trap is enabled.

Enabling the Event Message System
Follow these steps to enable the event message system and specify an event message
Element ID for each BSR:
1.
Issue the
no em shutdown
command in PacketCable Configuration mode to
enable event messaging for the BSR.
2.
Issue the
em element-number
command to specify a unique event message
Element ID for the BSR:
