2 Installation
Procedures
Part 2 provides information about how to install the FlexStation II system in your
laboratory. Installation must be done by qualified Molecular Devices personnel or a
service-trained user.
Caution:
The following procedures must be completed by a
service-trained
user. Do not
attempt the installation procedures if you have not been trained properly by appropriate
Molecular Devices Personnel.

2.1 General Precautionary Information
Warning!
Always make sure the power switch on the instrument is in the OFF position
and remove the power cord from the back of the instrument prior to any installation or
relocation of the system.
Warning!
Do not install or operate the system in an environment where potentially
damaging liquids or gases are present.
Caution:
Do not touch or loosen any screws or parts other than those specifically
designated in the instructions. Doing so might cause misalignment and will void the
system warranty.
Caution:
Do not attempt to assemble or disassemble the instrument with the pipettor
tips in place. Spillage or damage to the pipettor tips or the instrument can occur.
