In this example, BASE is
the parameter which is
selected for editing, and
is currently set at 15.5%.
This indicates which of the
four possible recipes is
selected for editing (in this
case, it is recipe 2).
MAIN DISPLAY
This is the pressure reading from the
gauge on the control channel.

Base is a valve control parameter that is expressed as a percent of the valve control signal output.
A Base setting of 20 means the valve control signal output should not go below 20% of the full
open output. In effect, this means the valve should remain at least 20% open.
For solenoid valves, the Base parameter is frequently adjusted to the point just below where the
valve begins to open.
Note
The Base parameter can override the Softstart parameter (Code 13x in the
Operation in Setup Mode chapter).
1. Repeatedly press the [
DISPLAY MODE
] key until the 146 unit is in Tuning Mode.
The system responds by scrolling through modes.
