Potential measurement (Straight Line) procedure:
Select the Potential measurement (Straight Line) function.
Set the test parameters (orientation, test frequency, step size, fault current,
…).
Connect the test leads to the instrument and to the test object.
Press the Run key to start the test.
Select distance (d) with arrow keys and set S probe according to the setting.
Press Run or Enter key to start the measurement.
Wait until the test result is displayed on the screen.
Proceed with next step (Set new distance (d) and set S probe according to the new
setting) or repeat step.
Press Run or Enter key to start the next step measurement.
Wait until the test result is displayed on the screen.
Repeat the procedure as required.
Press Esc key or stop button to stop the test.
Save results (optional).
Note:
The instrument automatically remembers the results of all the steps taken from the last
measurement (started from Single tests menu) and offers the possibility to add / modify
steps later.
