Front A irbags
The driver and passenger front
“SR S” airbags are designed to
activate only in certain frontal
impacts.
The front passenger airbag
deploys only if the passenger seat
is occupied.
Note:
Heavy objects on passenger seat
can cause the front airbag to
deploy in a crash.
Side Im pact Airbags
The side im pact “S R S ” airbags are
designed to activate only in certain
side impacts. Only the side airbag
on the im pacted side o f the vehicle
deploys.
The side im pact airbag for the front
passenger deploys only if the seat
is occupied.
Side im pact airbags operate best in
conjunction with a properly
positioned and fastenend seat belt.
Note:
Heavy objects on passenger seat
can cause the side im pact airbag
to deploy in a crash.
Im portant!
The “S R S ” airbags are designed
to activate only in certain frontal
or side im pacts. Only during
these types of im pacts, if of
sufficien t severity to m eet the
d ep lo ym en t thresh olds, will they
provide th e ir supplem ental
protection. The d river and
p assen g er should alw ays w ear
the seat belts, o th erw ise it is not
possible fo r the airb ag s to
provide th e ir intended sup p le
m ental protection.
In cases of oth er frontal im pacts,
angled im pacts, roll-overs, other
side im pacts, rear collisio n s, or
oth er accid en ts w ith o u t
sufficien t forces, the airbag will
not be activated . T h e d river and
p assengers will then be protect
ed by the fastened seat belts.
W e caution you not to rely on
the presence of an airbag in
ord er to avoid w earing you r seat
belt.
T he “S R S ” is designed to reduce
the potential of injury in certain
frontal and side im pacts which
m ay cause sig n ifican t injuries,
h ow ever, no system available
today can totally elim inate
injuries and fatalities.
The activation of the “SRS"
tem p o rarily releases a sm all
a m o un t of du st from the airbags.
