W arning!
The jack is designed ex ­
clusively fo r jacking up the
vehicle at the jack tubes built
into either side of the vehicle.
To help avoid personal injury,
use the jack only to lift the v e ­
hicle during a w heel change.
Never get beneath the vehicle
w hile it is sup p o rted by the
jack. K eep hands and feet
aw ay from the area un d er the
lifted vehicle. A lw ays firm ly
set parking brake and block
w heels before raising vehicle
with jack.
Do not d isen g ag e parking
brake w hile the veh icle is
raised. Be certain that the jack
is alw ays vertical w hen in use,
especially on hills. A lw ays try
to use the jack on level su r­
face. Be sure th a t the jack arm
is fully inserted in the jack
tube. A lw ays low er the vehicle
onto sufficien t capacity
jackstand s before w orking
under the vehicle.
C hanging W heels
M ove vehicle to a level area which
is a safe distance from the road­
way.
1. Set parking brake and turn on
hazard warning flasher.
2. M ove selector lever to position
“P” and turn off engine.
3. Prevent vehicle from rolling
away by blocking w heels with
wheel chocks (not supplied with
vehicle) or sizable wood block
or stone. W hen changing a
w heel on a hill, place chocks on
the dow nhill side blocking both
w heels of the other axle. On a
level road, place one chock in
front o f and one behind the
wheel that is diagonally opposite
to the w heel being changed.
4. Using the w rench, loosen but do
not yet rem ove the w heel bolts.
