than on a dry road.
You should pay particular attention
to the condition of the road w h e n
ever the outside tem peratures are
close to the freezing point.
W arning!
If ice has form ed on the road,
tire traction will be s u b stan
tially reduced. U nder such
w eather conditions, drive,
steer and brake with extrem e
caution.
W e recom m end M+S radial-ply
tires for the w inter season for all
four w heels to insure norm al bal
anced handling characteristics. On
packed snow, they can reduce
your stopping distance as co m
pared with su m m er tires. Stopping
distance, how ever, is still co n
siderably greater than w hen the
road is not snow or ice covered.
Tire Speed Rating
Your vehicle is factory equipped
with “ H”-rated tires, which have a
European speed rating of 130 mph
(210 km/h). An electronic speed
lim iter prevents your vehicle from
exceeding the speed rating.
Despite the tire rating, local speed
limits should be obeyed. Use pru
dent driving speeds appropriate to
prevailing conditions.
W arning!
Even w hen perm itted by law,
never operate a vehicle at
speeds g reater than the m axi
mum speed rating of the tires.
Exceeding the m axim um speed
for w hich tires are rated can
lead to sudden tire failure
causing loss of vehicle control
and resulting in personal injury
and possible death.
Im portant!
It is advisable to set the parking
brake w he ne ver parking or leaving
