Air R ecirculation
This mode can be selected to
prevent annoying odors o r dust
from entering the c a r’s interior.
O utside air is not supplied to the
ca r’s interior.
To select, press button.
To cancel, press button again.
The system will autom atically
switch from recirculated air to fresh
air
• after approx. 5 m inutes at
outside tem peratures below
approx. 40°F (5°C),
• after approx. 30 m inutes, at
outside tem peratures above
approx. 40°F (5°C),
• afte r approx. 5 m inutes, if button
o is pressed.
Notes:
If the w indow s should fog up from
the inside, switch from recirculated
air back to fresh air.
At high outside tem peratures, the
system autom atically engages the
recirculated air m ode thereby
increasing the cooling capacity
perform ance, sw itching to partially
fresh air within 20 m inutes.
R esidual Engine H eat U tilization
W ith the engine sw itched off, it is
possible to continue heating the
interior fo r a short while.
A ir volum e and distribution are
controlled autom atically.
To select:
Turn electronic key in steering lock
to position 1 or 0 or rem ove
electronic key. C lose air outlet in
rear passenger com partm ent.
Press E S I button.
This function selection will not
activate if the battery charge level
is insufficient.
To cancel:
Press
E§3
button.
T he system will autom atically
shut off
• if you turn electronic key in
steering lock to position 2,
• after approx. 30 m inutes,
• if the battery voltage drops.
D ust Filter
Dust particles (down to a certain
size) and pollen are filtered out
before outside air enters the pas­
senger com partm ent through the
air distribution system.
Notes:
Do not obstruct the air flow by
placing objects on the air flo w ­
through exhaust slots below the
rear window .
Also keep the air intake grille in
front of w indshield free of snow
and debris.
