Note:
Certain types of garage door
openers are incom patible with the
integrated opener. If you should
experience difficulties with pro­
gram m ing the transm itter, contact
your authorized M ercedes-Benz
dealer or call M ercedes-Benz
C ustom er A ssistance C enter (in
the U.S.A. only) at 1-800-FO R -
M ERCedes.
Program m ing or reprogram m ing
the rem ote control:
1. Turn electronic key in steering
lock to position 1 or 2.
2. Press and hold one button of
the rem ote control located on
the sun visor until its control
light begins to flash at a rate of
about once a second. C ontinue
holding down the button.
Note:
The light blinks im m ediately if
the rem ote control is being
program m ed for the first tim e, or
if its m em ory w as previously
erased. If you are reprogram ­
ming a previously used button,
the light will flash after about
20 seconds.
3. Hold end opposite to battery of
portable rem ote control against
the sun visor transm itter to be
program m ed. W hile still holding
down the button on the trans­
m itter on the sun visor, press
down the button on your port­
able rem ote control, until the
sun visor rem ote control light
starts to flash rapidly. This
m eans th at the integrated
rem ote control has accepted the
frequency and code of the
portable transm itter.
4. If you w ish, repeat the proce­
dure fo r each rem aining button.
O peration of rem ote control:
1. Turn electronic key in steering
lock to position 1 or 2.
2. Select and press the appro­
priate button (1, 2 or 3) to
activate the rem ote controlled
device. The rem ote control
transm itter continues to send
the signal as long as the button
is pressed - up to 20 seconds.
Erasing the rem ote control
mem ory:
1. Turn electronic key in steering
lock to position 1 or 2.
2. S im ultaneousy holding down
buttons 1 and 3 fo r a pproxi­
m ately 20 seconds, or until the
control light blinks rapidly, will
erase the codes o f all three
channels.
