Turn electronic key in steering lock
to position 2 and w ait u ntil the
sym bols
and
e i
appear.
W ithin 1 second press button 0
twice.
The follow ing additional m essages
are available:
“O K ”
“- 1 .0 Q ” (Canada: -1 .0 L)
“- 1 .5 Q ” (Canada: -1 .5 L)
“- 2 .0 Q ” (Canada: - 2 .0 L)
Add oil to upper (max) m ark of the
dipstick.
“ HI”
Do not overfill the e ng in e .
Excessive oil m ust be drained or
siphoned. It could cause dam age
to engine and catalytic converter
not covered by the M ercedes-Benz
Limited W arranty.
The sym bol E 9 flashes in the
o dom eter field if a proper oil level
check ca n n o t be perform ed.
T he oil level check can be
repeated after a short while.
Perform the oil level check with the
dipstick, if it cannot be com pleted
via the o dom eter display field.
W e recom m end that you have the
system checked at a M ercedes-
Benz dealer.
A u tom atic T ransm ission Fluid
Level
The transm ission has a perm anent
fill of a utom atic transm ission fluid.
R egular a utom atic transm ission
fluid level checks and changes are
not required. For this reason the
dipstick is om itted.
If you notice fluid leaks or gear
shifting m alfunctions, have your
authorized M ercedes-B enz dealer
check the transm ission fluid level.
