J. OPERATIONAL CHECKS 

M205, M155: 

 A battery main disconnect switch is 

located on the RH (cab-forward) frame rail, behind 

the maintenance platform, and can be accessed 

by moving the platform.  

M105:  

A  battery main discon nect  switch i s 

located on the LH frame rail on the bat tery tray, 

and  can be   accessed  by  raising  the engin e 

compartment hood. 
Ensure switch is switched to POWER ON position.  

I. 

ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS 

a.  Turn ignition key to RUN position. 
b.  Single  loud t one  sounds,  and engi ne  warning 

lights illuminate.  

II. START 

ENGINE 

Refer  to ST EP  21. START ENGINE,   and the n 

proceed as follows: 

a.  The  brakes  should  engage,  and the  machine 

should not move after engine start-up. 

b.  Ensure  the steering  wheel  is cente red.   Move  

GSL  (A) straight out of N-DETE

NT  (neither 

forward nor reverse).  The machine should not 

move. 

c.  With the GSL out of N-DETENT, check that the 

steering wheel is free to move. 

d.  If  the machin e  does  not  function  as  described 

above, the system requires adjustment.  Refer to 

the Technical Service Manual. 

III. ENGINE
