7. Trouble control
7.1 Display of battery symbol during stand by
mode.
The inserted ,6V Lithium battery type CR /2 AA)
is designed for a minimum operating life of approx.
0 years and a flow rate of .000.000 litres during this
period. If battery symbol appears during stand by mode,
battery capacity is low and must be replaced within
the next half year. Time specification may be reduced
under extreme conditions, e.g. high flow volume rate or
extremely low temperatures!
The battery can be replaced after opening the housing
without tools. Totals and calibration values are not
affected by the replacement.
7.2 Display of five lines „-----„
If the flow meter does not work and display just shows
5 horizontal lines, the electric evaluating unit is damaged.
Flow meter must be replaced.
8. Programming the flow meter
By programming the flow meter, unit of measurement
(litres, US-Gal, UK-Gal) and calibration factor (0.500
– .500) can be set and memorized trouble-free.
8.1 Change over into programming mode
Press key „Mode“ for approx 5 seconds to attain to pro-
gramming mode. Display now rapidly flashes (frequency
approx. Hz).
i
Important!
As long as the flow meter is in the programming
mode, there is no volume measurement. The flow
meter automatically returns to stand by mode
when no key is pressed for over 5 minutes during
programming mode.
8.2 Setting the unit of measurement
After pressing the key „Mode“ the set unit of measure-
ment flashes on the display. Press the key „Total“ to
set the unit of measurement “Litres”, “US-Gal” or UK-
Gal”. When key “Mode” is pressed again, the set unit of
measurement is adopted. Display now changes to set
the calibration factor.
i
Important!
If unit of measurement is changed, partial volume
and total volume is reset to 0.
8.3 Setting the calibration factor
After change into the programming mode and after set-
ting the measuring unit by pressing the key “Mode”,
the set calibration factor appears on the display. Press
the key „Total“ to increase the calibration factor or key
“Reset” to diminish it respectively. The change is made
in steps of 0.00.
8.4 Reset of all settings (factory setting)
If both keys, “Total” and “Reset” are pressed coevally
when setting the unit of measurement or the calibration
factor, all values of the flow meter change to factory
setting.
Following values are set by manufacturer:
Unit of measurement: Litres
Calibration factor:
.000
Volume 0.00 Litres
Totalizer: 0 Litres
8.5 Terminating the programming mode
By pressing again the key „Mode“, the set calibration
factor is memorized. Terminate programming mode and
return to stand by mode. If during programming mode
no key is pressed for over five minutes, the flow meter
automatically returns to stand by mode.
