Power LED
The power LED should be ON whenever the RTU has 12 VDC.
RTU Cable Connection
The FieldNET RTU is connected to FieldBOSS/FieldVISION panels through a
two part cable. One half is mounted to the bottom of the control panel and the
other is plugged into the RTU and threaded into the bottom of the control panel.
FieldNET RTUs are connected to Basic Links with a one part cable. Both data
and power is sent though this cable.
Device ID
Each RTU has a unique device ID programmed into it from the factory. The Web
Portal uses this Device ID to identify the RTU. When a new RTU is connected to
a control panel, powered up and meshes with a Base RTU connected to an
operational Bridge with an active Internet connection, the new RTU is added to
the device list on the Web Portal. The device ID is printed on a label on the
inside of the RTU. When a new device is registered on the web portal it is
identified by the Device ID of the RTU. The new device can be renamed with the
web portal on the properties section of the Vision Zone.
