Example 2
The diagram below shows a FieldNET system using two Repeaters daisy
chained together to extent their range. The pivot RTUs A are all on the default
factor hop pattern 2. Repeater B uses the default factory hop patterns 2 and 4
and the default antennas that are shipped with the Repeater kit. Repeater C
extends the range of Repeater B. Repeater C uses hop patterns 4 and 5 and an
additional directional antenna. Repeater C is located
within 500’ of Ba
se RTU D.
Base RTU D used the default whip antenna and is set to hop pattern 5.
Communication Paths
The pivot RTUs A communicate with the left radio module of Repeater B. The
right radio module of Repeater B communicates with the left radio module of
Repeater C. The Base RTU D communicates with the right radio module of
Repeater C.
Antennas
Pivot RTUs A: Factory default directional antenna
Repeater B: Factor default directional and omni directional antenna.
Repeater C: One factory default directional antenna and one additional
directional antenna ordered separately.
Base RTU D: Factory default whip antenna.
Hop Patters
Hop Pattern 2: All pivot RTUs A and left radio module of Repeater B
Hop Pattern 4: Right radio module of Repeater B and left radio module of
Repeater C.
Hop Pattern 5: Right radio module of Repeater C and Base RTU D.
