A. Design Examples
Example 1
The diagram below shows the most common type of FieldNET installation. The
Pivot RTUs “A” are all on the factory default hop pattern 2. The Repeater B is
located on a high point near the Base RTU C such as a grain leg. The Repeater
B uses the factory default hop patterns of 2 and 4 and the directional and omni
directional antennas that come with the Repeater package.
Communication Paths
The pivot RTUs A communicate with the left radio module of Repeater B. The
Base RTU C communicates with the right radio module of Repeater B.
Antennas
All RTUs use the factory default.
Hop Patters
Hop Pattern 2: All pivot RTUs A and left radio module of Repeater B
Hop Pattern 4: Base RTU C and right radio module of Repeater B
