Spread Spectrum Installation Guide
Bridge along with a high speed Internet connection. The Bridge does not include or
require a monitor, keyboard or mouse. The Bridge only needs to be plugged in and
powered on. The software on the Bridge starts automatically when it is powered on. If
the Bridge is ever turned off or looses power the software will start up automatically
once someone powers it back on. If the Internet connection for the Bridge is lost the
Bridge will automatically resume operating when the Internet connection is restored.
The Bridge does not need to be backed up since data is not stored on the Bridge. A
UPS (uninterruptible power supply, not included) will allow the Bridge to remain
operational in the event of a power failure
3.4 Base RTU
The Base RTU receives data from the
pivot’s RTUs
then passes that data
to the Bridge. The Base RTU also transmits commands sent to the Bridge
from the Web Portal to the pivot
’s
RTUs. A FieldNET RTU is configured as
a Base by an internal switch. The Base RTU receives its power from the
Bridge. Data and power to the Base RTU are in the same cable.
3.5 Basic Link
The Basic link is used to monitor and control panels that are
not FieldBOSS or FieldVISION. The control panel is wired into
the Basic Link and the Basic Link is connected to a FieldNET
RTU. The Basic Link has (4) 120 VAC inputs and two relay
outputs. One relay is used for a start signal and the other is
used for a stop signal. The Basic Link has field wiring
terminals for the Normally Open contacts of the start relay and
Normally Open and Normally Closed contacts for the Stop
relay.
The Basic Link is shipped assembled to a bracket with a 12
VDC power supply. The 10 Pin connector is pre-wired to monitor and stop most panels.
Instructions are included with the Basic Link for connecting it to BASIC, AIMS Basic,
AIMS Advanced and Valley
’s
Mechanical, Basic, Select and Pro panels. Control kits
