For example:
• Check that the receiver is configured properly for the QAM type
(256-QAM or 64-QAM).
• If using RF output, check that the RF signal level at the receiver is
OK. The OAT100R signal level at the TV input (ANTENNA IN)
must be between 0 to +7 dBmV. Also, check the RF power level at
the receiver as well as the signal-to-noise ratio.
• If using IP output, check for an error-free Ethernet connection, and
check the IP links at the switches.
• If configured for FTG Mode or another control system, verify the
receiver has been set up properly.
Verify that the problem
receiver(s) is/are set up
properly.
Verify the output (RF or
IP) at the OAT100R and
at the receiver.
*
If necessary, correct and
verify any output issues; e.g.,
adjust the signal level at RF
OUT, use the PC/network
analyzer to adjust IP traffic on
the network, etc.
Contact your network
administrator. There is
an issue in the network.

This chart assumes the OAT100R output mode (RF or IP) is properly configured (see Chart A).
**
If the green LED is lit, there is a viable connection to the IP distribution network, but no traffic. If
the amber LED is blinking, there is intermittent traffic, but no streaming.
Use the appropriate steps, depending on the output mode, to help
determine if and where there is an issue in the network.
To verify OAT100R RF output:
• Use a spectrum analyzer to observe the RF OUT port on the
OAT100R rear panel. The channel power should be approximately
-6 dBm (+42 dBmV), and the 6 MHz modulation channel should be
flat.
• Use a spectrum analyzer to observe the receiver signal with the
OAT100R
connected to
the distribution system. Channel power
should be greater than -48 dBm (0 dBmV), and the 6 MHz
modulation channel should be flat.
• Use a spectrum analyzer to observe the receiver signal with the
OAT100R
disconnected from
the distribution system. Channel
power should be at noise floor, and the 6 MHz modulation channel
should be free of noise.
To verify OAT100R IP output:
• Ensure the connected device is 1000BaseT, Full Duplex.
• Observe the LEDs on the OAT100R Feature Port. When the amber
LED is lit continuously (solid ON), the OAT100R is operating/
streaming normally.
**
• Use a network analyzer or PC to observe the traffic out from the
Feature Port. There should be substantial traffic on the selected
multicast addresses.
• Use a network analyser or PC to observe the traffic at the receiver
connection. There should be substantial traffic on the selected
multicast addresses.
Note:
An IGMP subscription may be required to receive multicast
traffic through the IPTV distribution system.
