LevelOne GSW-1290 Gigabit Layer2 SNMP Switch
None and Egress. None means there are no restrictions on the port
dynamically joining the multicast group. If None is chosen, then an end
station attached to the port can join the multicast group using GMRP.
Egress means the port is a static member of the multicast group.
Multicast Port Filtering Mode
The following window describes how to set up Multicast port filtering on the Switch. Open the
Forwarding & Filtering
folder and click on the
Multicast Port Filtering Mode
link to see the entry
window below:

The following parameters can be set:
Parameter
Description
Unit
This is the Unit ID of a Switch in a Switch stack. The number 15 indicates
a GSW-1290 Switch in standalone mode.
From/To
A consecutive group of ports may be configured starting with the selected
port.
Mode
This drop-down menu allows you to select the action the switch will take
when it receives a multicast packet that is to be forwarded to one of the
ports in the range specified above.
