Carefully rotate the retaining clip away from the memory module slot.

Make sure that both retaining clips are in the fully-open position.

Grasp the memory module at both ends and carefully lift it out of the slot.

1. Install a replacement of memory module if it is needed. See
“Install a memory module” on page 91

use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
