b. Carefully rotate the retaining clip away from the memory module slot.
Step 4. Remove the memory module.

a. Make sure that both retaining clips are in the fully-open position.
b. Grasp the memory module at both ends and carefully lift it out of the slot.
After you finish
1. Install a replacement of memory module if it is needed. See “Install a memory module” on page 91 .
2. If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and
use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
