7 Preparation before Surgery
7.1 Transport (F20 only)
WARNING
Risk of injury by:
•
Uncontrolled swinging out of swing arm!
•
Tilting of the stand!
•
Feet in non-sturdy shoes may get trapped beneath the
base!
•
Abrupt braking of the surgical microscope at a threshold
that cannot be crossed!

For transportation, always move the Leica M525 F20
surgical microscope into the transport position.

Never move the stand while the unit is extended.
X
X
Never roll over cables lying on the floor.
X
X
Always push the Leica M525 F20 surgical microscope;
never pull it.
CAUTION
Surgical microscope can move without warning!

Always lock the footbrake when you are not moving the
system.
Returning the Leica M525 F20 to the transport position

Pull the stop lever (1) and rotate it into a vertical position.
X
X
Grasp the handles.
X
X
Move the swing arm up and down until the transport lock
engages.
X
X
Engage all brakes.
X
X
Bring swing arm into transport position.
X
X
Step on the footbrake release levers (3) to release the
footbrakes (2).
X
X
Move the Leica M525 F20 using the handle.
