12.2 Malfunctions on the stand/mount
Malfunction
Cause
Correction
The Leica M525 F20/CT20 surgical microscope
or the swing arm moves up/down or rotates
by itself.
The swing arm is not correctly balanced.
Balance the Leica M525 F20/CT20 surgical
microscope (see chapter 7.4).
Cables are not routed correctly or have
shifted. Cables (potentially including any
additional video cables) exert force on the
system.
Route the cables according to the installation
instructions and implement strain relief.
The stand of the Leica M525 F20 surgical
microscope moves.
Footbrakes not applied.
Engage the footbrakes (see chapter 7.1).
The Leica M525 F20/CT20 surgical microscope
is not balanced correctly.
The position of the accessory was changed
after balancing.
Balance the Leica M525 F20/CT20 surgical
microscope (see chapter 7.4).
The range of movement of the Leica M525
F20/CT20 surgical microscope is limited
(swing, tilt, rotate).
Video camera was not properly installed and
touches the microscope carrier.

Photographs/TV images blurry.
Leica M525 F20/CT20 surgical microscope or
video-zoom adapter is not focused precisely.
Focus precisely, use graticule if necessary.
Perform diopter correction exactly according
to the instructions.
The photographs have a blue tone.
Incorrect film used.
Use daylight film.
