Notes on positioning
Usage options for neurosurgery with different working positions for
the surgeon (dimensions in mm):

In all of the use situations the microscope is expected to be
positioned forming a 90° angle between the horizontal arm and
the swing arm as shown in the figures above.
The positioning, as described in the figures above are considered to
be standard practice, because they give the surgeon the highest
degree of freedom to maneuver and move the optical carrier in
different directions without exerting direct forces on the stand of
the microscope.
