7.8 Raising and lowering the CT20
ceiling mount
The CT20 ceiling mount can be raised and lowered electrically.
These functions can be controlled via buttons (1) on the remote
control unit.

Move telescopic arm to the desired height:

Activate button (1).
Lift telescopic arm
Lower telescopic arm
Under permanent-load conditions, the telescopic arm may
not be operated for more than 1 minute in a 10-minute
period.
After 2 minutes of uninterrupted operation, the built-in
temperature switch switches off the motor of the Leica
Microsystems ceiling mount.
7.9 Positioning at the operating table
(F20 only)

Never change the accessories or attempt to rebalance
the microscope while it is above the field of operation.

Always balance the Leica M525 F20/CT20 after
re-equipping it.

Do not exceed the max. load when equipping
components and accessories.

Do not release the brakes when the instrument is in an
unbalanced state.
Improper motions of the stand can result in tilting of the
stand.

Move the Leica M525 F20 surgical microscope into transport
position and release the footbrakes (see chapter 7.1).

Move the Leica M525 F20 surgical microscope carefully over to
the operating table by the handle and into the required position
for the operation.
For positioning options, see the following pages.

Set the footbrake.

Position and connect the footswitch.
X
X
Connect the potential equalization to the control/illumination unit.

Check that all accessories are correctly connected and securely
attached.

X
Pack footswitch in a plastic bag if necessary.

Position stand so that pivot point on swing arm carrier is
located over the operation area.
