8.4 Encoder, conical shaft, flange type B (refer to data sheet 58x3SIL)
The fastening screw of the conical shaft must be tightened with a torque of 3Nm. The stator coupling
is fastened with four M3 screws tightened with a torque of 1 Nm and secured against loosening. The
user or the installation company that mounts the encoder must make sure that the fastening method
complies with the safety requirements in force.
Max. permissible tolerances of the shaft connection:
If they are dirty,
- Axial offset: 0.50 mm (+/-0.25 mm)
the encoder and drive shafts must
- Radial offset: +/- 0,20 mm
be cleaned and degreased.
- Angular misalignment symmetry: 1°
8.5 Encoder, hollow shaft with clamping ring, flange type A (see data sheet 58x3SIL)
The fixing screw of the clamping ring must be tightened with a recommended torque of 2.5 Nm. The
torque pin must be screwed onto an M4 threaded pin, and tightened with a recommended torque of
3 Nm. The screw connection must be secured against loosening.
The torque pin must be mounted to comply with the Machinery Directive guidelines in force, whereby
the operator, operating company or installation company, which is installing the encoder, must ensure
that the fastening screw thread complies with the safety requirements in force.
