2.1 Machine Configuration 2

1 Upper tray ( tray 3 ) (or tray 6 in the sec-
ond unit)
Holds 1,300 sheets (22 lb Bond) of standard, custom,
wide paper, or tab paper sizes. Load paper of the
weight from 11 to 80 lb Bond. Any paper type includ-
ing preprinted paper can be loaded.
2 Upper tray ( tray 4 ) (or tray 7 in the sec-
ond unit)
Holds 1,850 sheets (22 lb Bond) of standard, custom,
wide paper, or tab paper sizes. Load paper of the
weight from 11 to 93 lb Bond. Any paper type includ-
ing preprinted paper can be loaded.
3 Upper tray ( tray 5 ) (or tray 8 in the sec-
ond unit)
Holds 1,850 sheets (22 lb Bond) of standard, custom,
wide paper, or tab paper sizes. Load paper of the
weight from 11 to 80 lb Bond. Any paper type includ-
ing preprinted paper can be loaded.
4 Air blow access window Opens to check the paper feedability effected by air
blow.
5 Tray left side door handle Held to open the tray left side door.
6 Tray left side door Opens for removal of mishandled paper from the main
body left side door or from the
paper feeder unit

7 Tray handle Held to withdraw the tray.
8 Paper size indicator Indicates the positions of side guides for the standard
paper size.
9 Guide fixing knobs (2 pieces) Turned to move or fix the side guides.
10 Top air nozzle Blows air to separate each sheet.
11 Small size guides (2 pieces) Opened inward for paper of the width less than 5.89
inches.
12 Paper control plate fixing levers (2
positions)
When using the small size guides, pushed leftward to
lock the paper control plates.
13 Guide fixing knobs Turned to move or fix the side guides.
14 Side air nozzle Blows air to slightly float the paper to prevent double
feed.
15 Rear guide lock release lever Pushed leftward to release the lock in order to move
rear guides.
16 Side guide lock release lever Pushed backward to release the lock in order to move
side guides.
17 Side guides (2 pieces) Aligned to the edges of loaded paper.
18 Rear guide Aligned to the rear edge of loaded paper.
19 Horizontal conveyance cover lever Opens downward for removal of mishandled paper.
20 Horizontal conveyance knob Turned to feed mishandled paper in the horizontal
conveyance direction.
21 Lower tray vertical conveyance door Opens leftward for removal of mishandled paper.
22 Lever [PF1] Opens downward for removal of mishandled paper.
23 Lever [PF2] Opens downward for removal of mishandled paper.
24 Upper tray vertical conveyance door Opens leftward for removal of mishandled paper.
