HEATING PLATE CONTROL
Before the first use, it is recommendable to heat each heating plate at maximum heat level for
3-5 minutes. This will be accompanied by a small amount of smoke emitted from the burning
protective coating of the plate, after which the room should be ventilated. Thus the protective
coating reaches its maximum hardness.
Do not put wet saucepans and lids on the heating plates and do not leave hot saucepans to
cool down on the heating plates that are turned off. Humidity causes corrosion of the plates.
The cooking plate power is set by means of the knobs of 7-position switches (Figure 8).
Normal heating plate
The position 3 of the knob corresponds to the maximum power of the
heating plate. When set between 0 and 1, the heating plate operates
at minimum power.
Rapid heating plate
The difference between a rapid cooking plate (the one with a red
circle in the centre) and a normal plate is that the rapid cooking plate
reaches its maximum temperature faster than the normal plate
because of a higher power output.
The red circle may wipe off over time, due to cleaning and heating.

KNOB POSITION
TO BE USED FOR
0
The plate is OFF
•
Food temperature maintenance
1
Long cooking of a small quantity of food
•
Long cooking of a large quantity of food
2
Consecutive frying of meat, fish, eggs, pancakes
•

COOKING ZONE CONTROL
The glass ceramic cooking surfaces are designed with dual- and single-circle cooking zones
Single circle zone control
The operation of these zones is controlled by means of the 7-position switch knobs (Figure 8).
The larger the number, the higher the heating power.
