3) While pushing the stay (5) in the direction of arrow,

open the engine hood.

4) Set the stay (5) in LOCK position (9).

METHOD FOR LOCKING ENGINE HOOD

1.

Hold the handle (4) and support the engine hood.

2.

Hold the handle (7), pull the stay (5) in the direction of ar-
row, and remove the stay (5) from intermediate LOCK po-
sition (6).

3.

Check that stay (5) is set in guide groove (10), and then
lower the engine hood.

CAUTION

Do not lower the engine hood forcibly while stay (5) is
not set in guide groove (10). If you do so, stay (5) will
be deformed.
Do not release the handle (4) until the engine hood is
lowered fully.
