Interoperability Now
channel B, and channel B and channel C are in a net together, channel A will still only
hear channel B’s audio, not channel C’s.
•
Any resource can be a Dispatch Resource, a channel in one interoperability net, a
monitored
channel, and a Monitor concurrently.
•
When a channel is a Monitor, and it is also put into two-way communication with the
Dispatcher, the channel is removed from its Monitor function.
•
When a channel is being monitored, and it is also put into two-way communication with
the Dispatcher, the channel will continue to be monitored.
The following guidelines apply to moving resources between Dispatch, Nets, Resources,
and Monitors.
•
A resource occupying the Dispatch
Source position may only be moved by returning it to
its position in the Resources frame.
•
A Dispatch Source may concurrently occupy a Monitor role and/or be monitored,
however it must be placed in the Monitor or monitored position prior to being put in the
Dispatch Source position.
•
Any channel icon other than that of the Dispatch Source can be dragged from an
interoperability net to a new position in the Monitors
Area. However, channels in the
Monitors
Area may not be dragged directly into an interoperability net they did not
previously occupy.
•
Any channel icon other than that of the Dispatch Source can be dragged from an
interoperability net to a new position in the Dispatch Resource Area. However, channels
in the Dispatch Resource Area may not be dragged directly into an interoperability net
they did not previously occupy.
Visual indicators are used to help identify resources.
•
When a channel resource is in an interoperability net, it is unavailable in the Local and
the Remote Resources Areas and it is grayed out there.
•
When a channel resource is the Dispatch Source, it is unavailable in the Local
and the
Remote Resources Areas and is given a green outline.
•
When a channel resource is a Monitor or is being monitored, but it is not in an
interoperability net, it remains available in the Local
and the
Remote Resources Areas.
•
A channel that is being monitored – either in the Dispatch Area or the Monitors Area –
will receive a yellow outline in the Resources Area and in its interoperability net, if
applicable, and a yellow outline and a one-way arrow in the Dispatch and/or the Monitors
Area(s).
•
A channel that is put into two-way communications with the Dispatcher in the Dispatch
Area will display a red outline and a two-way arrow in the Dispatch Resource Area. If it
is in an interoperability net, the channel will display a red outline and be grayed out to
