JPS RoIP Channel Configuration on the Z2C
This channel configuration section picks up from Section 5.1.3
. If the JPS RoIP streaming channel you want to configure has not already
been added in the
Expansion Bridge
table on the
Bridges
tab of the Z2C, please return to that
section and add the channel before continuing.
To go to an individual JPS RoIP streaming channel’s configuration page on the Z2C, either click
the button with the arrow out
on the channel’s row in the
Expansion Bridge
table, or leave the
Bridges
tab by clicking the
Channel
tab.
Unlike a virtual JPS Bridge channel, a JPS RoIP streaming channel on the Z2C may require
additional configuration beyond that provided by the RoIP Defaults Profile. Therefore, JPS RoIP
channel configuration settings are available. For help with these settings, click the
question
mark icons next to the settings in the GUI.
Remember:
If audio encryption is preferred on this channel and has been licensed, enable it (
Yes
),
select the
Encryption Type
, and enter an
Audio Encryption String
composed of letters, numbers,
spaces, and/or symbols. Note that the
Enable Audio Encryption
option is provided on a channel-
by-channel basis for JPS Bridge and JPS RoIP channels, and it does not need to be enabled on
every channel.
Figure 5-8: Enable Encryption (Optional, Licensed Feature)
Encryption is an optional feature available by license on select JPS devices. If the button or the
option is grayed out and encryption is desired, contact JPS to purchase a license. If you already
possess a license key and need to enter it, see Section 5.2.1
Note: The Encryption configuration must match for both sides of the connection.
Therefore,
encryption must be turned on (Yes) or off (No) for both sides of the connection. If there is a
mismatch, audio will be unintelligible. The
Encryption Type
must also be the same, and the
Audio
Encryption String
must be entered and match. The
Audio Encryption String
is a user-defined
string between 32 and 128 characters long. Any characters, spaces, symbols, or numbers may be
used.
