Z2C Installation and Operation Manual
One of the more useful configuration options available on this page is choosing a channel
Display
Setting
. This applies a graphic to the channel icon in the
Resources Area
that represents the
channel pictorially.
To assign a
Display Setting
image, select one from the drop-down list. Click
PTT over Cellular
to open a list of PTToC channel images.
Figure 5-4: Choosing JPS Bridge Channel Icon Display Image
Once selected, the display image will only be applied to the icons on the
Home
screen. It will not
appear in the channel list across the top of the
Channel
tab in
Settings
. This serves as a reminder
that these are Z2C virtual JPS Bridge channels which represent – but are not directly interfaced
to – the radio or other communications system they are streaming.
Note that the only other configuration options available for virtual JPS Bridge channels are
Basic
Settings
, including changing the channel name and/or channel description, and Port
Configuration. Changes made here will update to the
Expansion Bridge
table as well as on the
channel icons. The channel type can also be changed here, but subsequently requires a
configuration change on the remote resource as well.
Once the virtual JPS Bridge channel is configured in the Z2 Controller, the connection must be
configured in the remote resource. Continue through the next sections for instructions. Note that
the Z2C’s IP address (located in the
Network
tab) will be required, as will the JPS Bridge channel
port numbers in the
Expansion Bridge
table on the
Bridges
tab, so it will be helpful to have them
available.
