Headset Channel Configuration in the Z2 Controller
If a JPS-approved USB Headset is plugged into one of the USB ports prior to unit being powered
on, the headset will show up as Local System Resource on the top left of the Home Screen, as
shown below.
Figure 5-11: Local Headset in Local System Resources Area
The first headset configuration step is to verify proper entries in the Basic Settings dialog box
(same as is used for all channel types), see next figure. A local USB Headset will automatically
come up with the proper Channel Type, set as Enabled, and with the USB Headset Defaults
profile. Whatever is entered in the
Name
field will show up at the top of the Headset icon on the
Home Screen. It is not required that any text be entered into the
Description
field, but this text
will show up near the cursor whenever it hovers over the Headset icon.
Note: See Table 1-3
– Optional Equipment - Not Supplied, for a list of USB
Headsets that will function with the Z2 Controller
.
Note: No settings are applied until the Submit button (available at both the
top and the bottom of each Channel Configuration page) is pressed.
