The UHF TAC system (not pictured) uses a different antenna and is being linked to the Z2C by
a different RSP-Z2. Nevertheless, since UHF TAC and VHF TAC are in the same interoperability
net on the Z2C, they communicate with each other.
For our net 3 example, let’s say a portable or mobile radio user on the distant UHF TAC system
has begun transmitting. Therefore, the donor radio on that channel receives this signal, has Active
COR, and sends both to its local RSP-Z2 to the Z2 Controller. The Z2 Controller sends this audio,
plus and Active PTT signal to the VHF TAC donor radio on RSP-Z2 #2 to be retransmitted to all
users in the field who are monitoring that channel. Since the JPS VIA PTToC 1 is also a member
of net 3 on the Z2C, the audio is also heard by all Smartphone users who are members of that
TalkGroup.
The COR and PTT paradigm is used regardless of channel type and can be thought of as receive
(RX) and transmit (TX) respectively.

Disbanding and Erasing Nets
Disbanding nets, changing nets, or creating new nets is simple and intuitive. Simply drag and
drop system icons where desired or use right click options or the eraser (disband net) and trash
can (delete net) symbols. Often there are multiple methods to perform an operation; the design
goal of the Z2C GUI is to be as simple and intuitive as possible.
