5.1.2
Summary of Steps to Add a Virtual Channel
Adding a virtual JPS Bridge or JPS RoIP streaming channel is straightforward. First, configure
the Z2C to accept the connections by setting up a channel on the Z2C. Next, since the Z2C
operates with remote resources in a Server/Client relationship, configure those resources (the
clients) to initiate the connection.
1.
Add the virtual JPS Bridge or JPS RoIP streaming channel to the
Expansion Bridge
table
using the
Bridges
tab on the Z2C.
2.
Configure the individual virtual JPS Bridge or JPS RoIP streaming channel on the Z2C.
3.
Configure the virtual JPS Bridge or JPS RoIP streaming channel on the remote unit, such
as on an RSP‑Z2, an MCC‑4, or an NXU-2B.
4.
If/when required, reboot the remote unit so that it will initiate the connection to the Z2C.
The following sections of this manual contain instructions for completing the above four steps.
Whether you are adding a virtual JPS Bridge or a JPS RoIP streaming channel, the first step is to
add the channel to the Z2C’s
Expansion Bridge
Table, located on the
Bridges
tab.

The Bridges Tab – Adding a Streaming Channel
To add a new streaming channel, go to
Settings
, then click
Bridges

Erik is logged in. He has Super User credentials and therefore permission to alter system settings.
For each new channel in the
Expansion Bridge
table, select
Bridge
or
RoIP

Type
from the
drop-down menu. Enter the
Name

Description
(optional) information for the
virtual channel. Click the plus sign to the left to put that virtual channel in pending mode,
indicated by another plus sign to the right of the channel information. Continue in this manner
until all virtual channels are configured.
