Array Name:
This is the name of the selected array.
Device ID:
This is the key ID of the array.
Status Information:
This area gives details of the status criteria.
Status:
Displays the array status of Normal, Degraded,
or Failed.
Detailed Status:
Displays information about the initialize status.
Job Status:
Displays information of whether or not
background jobs are running.
RAID and Size Information: This area gives details about the array
configuration.
RAID Level:
The chosen RAID level for the selected array,
RAID 5 in this example.
Stripe Depth
The size of the stripe depth can be 64 KB, 128
KB, or 256 KB. This example is showing 64
KB.
Total Size
Shows the full available space for the selected
array, 68.31 GB in this example. The total size
will not change unless the array is expanded
using the Online Capacity Expansion process.
Remaining Size
Shows the available space for the selected
array, 0 MB in this example. The remaining
size will change according to the size of logical
volumes created. When the full amount of
space has been utilized by the logical volumes,
the remaining size will show as 0 MB.
Cache Settings:
This area gives details about the Cache Setting
options, which the user can modify by clicking
on the check box or use the scrolling arrows.
Enable Read-Ahead Cache:
This can be enabled or disabled. Use Enable
Read-Ahead Cache for faster controller
performance.
Enable Writeback Cache:
Provides faster performance but requires
battery backup to avoid data loss in case of a
power failure. The Writeback (WBC) cache
process enables the controller to signal the host
system that the write operation is complete as
soon as the write data is in the controller cache.
