discuss the following: Creating an Array, Deleting an Array, Assigning a
Dedicated Hot-Spare (while creating the array and after the array has been
created), Assigning a Global Hot-Spare, Expanding the Capacity of an Array,
Initializing an Array, Rebuilding an Array, Verifying the Integrity of an Array, and
Flashing the LEDs of an Array.
Creating An Array
In order to create an array, click on either the Array tab in the menu bar or the
Create Array button in the toolbar.
Using the system icon in the Logical Configuration Panel, is another way to start
building an array.
You can use the Array tab in the menu bar (see
system icon (see
present the drop menu. Click on Create Array as shown in the drop down menu
in both examples. You will now have access to the Create Array Window so that

choose the RAID level, the stripe depth, and initialize the array. (You may deselect
the initialize option and enable it at a later time; however data will be lost, see
