Click OK at the bottom of the screen when you are done and you will be returned
to the beginning window, which is the Main Application Window. You can also
do a quick visual check of the Physical Elements Panel to see that the disk drive
has been marked as a dedicated hot-spare.

NOTE: If you have previously changed the default Yes to No for the Auto-
Rebuild policy in the Array Policy Settings screen (see

) and now you

select a dedicated hot-spare, the No will change to Yes, and the Auto-Rebuild
policy will be enabled. Please refer to

System Array Policy Settings

for more

information.

This is the Dedicated Hot-Spare Configuration Window that allows you to assign
a dedicated hot-spare after an array has been created. Click on one or more of the
available drives (blue box in the spare column) to assign a dedicated hot-spare.
