Stripe Depth - The depth of stripes assigned to the array, 64 K bytes, in
this example. The user may change the stripe depth as needed.
Action Buttons - Any grayed out buttons are not active.
Previous - Takes you to the preceding action.
Next - Not an option in the Summary window, since the summary is
completing an operation.
Finish - Takes you out of this window and returns to the Main
Application Window.
Cancel - Allows you to stop this function.
Deleting an Array
WARNING: Remember, when you delete an array, your data will be destroyed,
(see
). Be sure that you have made a backup of anything that needs
to be retained before you delete an array.
NOTE: The selected drives with the blue light ON (bottom of the icon) are
configured in the array about to be deleted.
If the light on the drive is not highlighted, it is not part of any configuration.
Be sure that you are using selected and configured drives that are associated
with the array icon that you selected in the Logical Configuration Panel.
In order to delete an array, right-click on the array icon to be deleted and you will
get the drop menu. You may also click on the word, Array, from the Menu bar to
access the drop menu.
Click on Delete Array. You will get the following alert message window. If you
are not sure of this action, click No to stop this operation. Otherwise Click Yes to
complete the delete operation (see

Global Hot-Spare in the Drive Information Box
Yes
A disk drive is available to make a Global Hot-Spare if a Dedicated-
Hot Spare has not been assigned to the current array.
No
A Global-Hot Spare will not be used with the current array if a
Dedicated Hot-Spare is assigned to the current array. However, after
this array is completed, you can make a Global Hot-Spare with an
available disk drive for general availability
