The information below describes each array policy setting shown above.
Auto-Rebuild
When enabled, this function automatically
replaces a failed member drive with an
assigned dedicated or global drive, and
reconstructs the data on the replacement drive.
When the data reconstruction is complete, the
array returns to a fully protected state. If the
option is disabled, you must manually rebuild
the array set to restore the array set to Normal.
Auto Hot-Spare
When enabled, this function automatically
rebuilds the data on a replacement drive if the
replacement drive is inserted in the same drive
slot of the failing member
Background Verify
When enabled, this function will continuously
verify all drives in the system. The function
verifies 2MB of data on each drive, every 10
seconds. If the drive is a member drive of a
fault tolerant array set, the data will be
reconstructed when a media error is detected.
Init Priority (%)
This shows the importance level for this
process. For example, if the initialization needs
to be completed faster than a normal run time,
then change the percentage to a higher number.
