DTC: Steering Fault 4310
Heatsink temperature is above 185° F (85° C).
DTC: Steering Fault 5111
15V supply voltage on the DSP board is too low.
DTC: Steering Fault 5113
5V supply voltage on the DSP board is too high or too low.
DTC: Steering Fault 5210
The offset in the current measurement is too high.
Probable Cause
Remedy
Rear wheel obstructed.
Check rear wheel for obstruction.
Debris on or around SCU.
Remove debris and clean the SCU.
Steering motor chain.
Check steering motor chain tension.
Check steering motor chain for binding or damage.
Steering yoke bearing.
Check steering yoke bearing.
Faulty connections.
Check steering motor connections; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion
and tight.
Faulty steering motor.
Substitute the steering motor with a known good steering motor. If system now works,
re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Faulty steering control unit.
Substitute the steering control unit with a known good steering control unit. If system now
works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.

Check SCU 23 pin connector; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion and
tight.
Check steering motor connections; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion
and tight.
Faulty steering control unit.
Substitute the steering control unit with a known good steering control unit. If system now
works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.

works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.

Substitute the steering motor with a known good steering motor. If system now works,
re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Faulty steering control unit.
Substitute the steering control unit with a known good steering control unit. If system now
works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
